Yesterday, a few members of our team were honoured to attend the Penlee commemoration for the 16 lives lost 40 years ago on December 19, 1981.
The Penlee RNLB Ivan Ellen led a flotilla of boats that included many other old and new lifeboats and fishing boats from the port of Newlyn to lay wreaths off the old Penlee boathouse.
Thank you to The Real Cornish Crab Co. for inviting us aboard the #HarrietEveTO50.
As we remember those who were lost, we thank those who continue to risk themselves to keep people safe in the seas. You can read more about what happened on that day here.
