About Us
Penzance has been a centre of engineering innovation since the industrial revolution. From the days of Humphrey Davy and Richard Travithick it has enjoyed a tradition of marine, mining and general engineering excellence.
The shipyard at Penzance was founded in 1834 and boasts the first dry dock in Europe. It is located at the cross-roads of one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world with many ships plying their trade there every year.
In the past the shipyard has had many clients including the Ministry of Defence. The workshops are well equipped and the workforce is able to complete all forms of ship repair, construction, fabrication and general engineering, thus minimising out of service time. The yard is therefore, through flexible working methods, able to provide both excellent quality and value for money that is second to none.
Our commercial staff will be pleased to respond to your enquiry with urgency and professionalism so as to ensure that Penzance Dry Dock remains at the top of your list. Please contact us via any of the available means on this site.
